For no other reason than I wanted to see if it would work, and it also nicely rounds up my episodes on my weekend sojourn to the north east, here is the ancient geordie group Lindisfarne performing their anthem "Fog on the Tyne".

Yes I know who all of the ones on the left are.
Yes its a very old video of them (1971)
No I haven't a fucking clue who Catweazle on the right is,

And yes, I used to look like that in 1971 too...

You've got to love the Old Grey Whistle Test.
And it's quite bizarre listening to that and with cricket commentary on at the same time. "Mahmood with a yorker which Jayawardene plays out on the off side. There's no run and that's the end of the over. Fog on the Tyne is all mine, all mine.... 78 for 2"

I went to see Lindisfarne twice in the late 70's at Huddersfield Uni - Catweazle had obviously left the band then.

One of the gigs was on their tour in Dec 78 and I saw an episode of OGWT recently on BBC4 from the Cambridge gig of that very same tour - it was surreal looking at all of the students in the audience and thinking that I would have looked exactly like them and listened to exactly the same songs just one week after them.
